POLICE ASSISTANCE COMMITTEE (PAC)
FRAMEWORK & DEFINITION OF FUNCTIONS
The Executive President and his Exco
members of Police Assistance Committee and the
Association of Tradesmen & Artisans of Nigeria are to
oversee all the affairs of the State functionaries of
PAC in the States.

Tradesmen & Artisans in the States are to liase with the
National body and state Chairmen on Tradesmen & Artisans
affairs and on Police Assistance Committee matters at
all times.)

LIAISE WITH THE EXCO OF TRADESMEN &
ARTISANS & POLICE ASSISTANCE COMMITTEE |

A. STATE CHAIRMAN
(ADMINISTRATION)
- Oversees the day to day
functions of the organization with the State
Organizing Secretary as the Chief Administrative
Manager.
- Liaise with the Executive of
the State Tradesmen & Artisans and other
organizations that are relevant for membership of
PAC.
- Champions the relationship of
PAC with the Government and the Police.
- Presides and adjudicates over
matters and the overall welfare of PAC in
conjunction with the State Chairmen (Zones) in the
State Exco meetings.
- Functions as a principal
signatory to the PAC account with the following
alternate members :-
1. The First Chief State
Coordinator
2. The Financial Secretary
3. The Treasurer
B. STATE CHAIRMAN
(ZONES)
- Overseas PAC operations at
zonal levels, through the Chief State Coordinators.
- Meets with Zonal Coordinators
monthly on a date that will enable him report the
activities of the zones to the State Exco meeting.
- He presides jointly with the
State Chairman (Administration) and adjudicate over
matters and welfare of PAC in the State Executive
meeting.
- He is an alternate principal
signatory to the PAC account.
C. VICE CHAIRMAN
- Function as State Chairmen
(Zones and Administration) in the absence of the two
Chairmen.
D. CHIEF STATE COORDINATORS
- The Chief State Coordinators
for Tradesmen & Artisans in the State are to liaise
with the National Body and State Chairmen on
Tradesmen & Artisans affairs and on Police
Assistance Committee matters at all times.
E. STATE SECRETARY
- Is the Chief Scribe of the
Organization. He takes record of proceedings at the
meetings and functions in a committee as would be
deemed necessary.
F. ASSISTANT SECRETARY
- Functions as an alternative to
the State Secretary.
G. PUBLIC RELATIONS OFFICER (PRO)

- Is the image-maker of the
organization
- Takes charge of media
publications
- Media representative where and
when necessary.
H. PUBLIC RELATIONS OFFICER (PRO)

- Does the job of PRO 1 as an
alternative.
I. FINANCIAL SECRETARY
- Takes charge of financial
transactions and records as it concerns the
organization, and is a signatory to the PAC account.
J. ASSISTANT FINANCIAL SECRETARY
- Deputizes for the Financial
Secretary in his absence.
K. TREASURER
- Is the bursar of the
organization. He is the custodian of PAC funds and a
signatory to the account.
FUNCTIONS OF L.G.A. AND ZONE
1. LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA CHAIRMEN
- Are in charge of PAC in the
Local Government Areas
- Reports to the Police
Assistance Committee State Headquarters and State
Headquarters should report to the National Body.
- Liaises with Zonal Coordinators
- Supervises the functions of
Ward Chairmen.
2. WARD CHAIRMEN
- Are in charge of PAC at the
Ward Level
- Report to the Local Government
Area Chairmen
3. ZONAL COORDINATORS
- Report to the Chief State
Coordinators
- Supervises Local Government
Area Chairmen
- Meet with Chairmen (Zone)
monthly
- Are members of the State
Executive Committee.
